A team of local volunteers give many hours of their time to assist with processing photographs, documents and records.

They also undertake research projects on local areas, which are then made available to the public. A computerised index of the below items is searchable by members of the Upper Clutha History Society upon request.

Photographs

A large collection of prints, negatives and digital scans dating from the 1860s is available to view in person at the Wānaka Library. If you would like to view the physical copies, please get in touch.

All photographs are kept in display folders and may be accessed through Wānaka Library staff or a duty member of the Upper Clutha History Society.

Copies in digital format may be obtained by first completing and signing an Order Form that includes a description of the proposed use of the items.
