Wānaka History promotes stories of Wānaka and the Upper Clutha/Mata-Au area of Aotearoa New Zealand

Wānaka History is a project of the Upper Clutha History Society, using photographs, maps, documents and oral history records from their archive

Membership

We welcome new members to the Society that wish to help us preserve and record the history of the Upper Clutha. You don’t have to become a working volunteer as just being a supporting member assists us.

Membership Subscriptions are currently $15.00 NZD per member for the financial year ending 31 March.

Membership includes a free quarterly newsletter.

To become a member, please get in touch by emailing us at admin@uppercluthahistory.org

Volunteering

We are always on the lookout for people to assist us in recording the history in written records, photos, researching, writing and recording the records in our PastPerfect database. If you are interested in volunteering, please get in touch by emailing admin@uppercluthahistory.org

Donations

Wānaka History is run by the Upper Clutha History Society, an incorporated and registered charity.

The Society’s income from membership fees is insufficient to cover our working and administrative costs, purchase of equipment etc. and as such we are reliant on donations from the public and local community organisations to cover any shortfall. Funding is reliant on the assistance of a variety of community funders and individual gifts. Donations are very welcome, as are new memberships.

Monetary donations of $5.00 or more can, on application to the IRD, attract a tax refund to the donor. Please ask for a special tax refund receipt when donating $5.00 or more.

How can I make a donation?
